Anaesthesia & Surgery
soflorane gas anesthesia is monitored with a carbon dioxide measuring device that displays a waveform of C02 in each breath, respiration rate, alerts if there is apnoea (breath holding) and also functions as a pulse oximeter to check the level of oxygenation in the blood. For longer or thoracic surgeries a mechanical ventilator takes over the work of breathing. An ECG is available for both diagnostic and anesthetic monitoring and also a doppler ultrasound blood pressure monitoring machine. Our diagnostic ultrasound machine is equipped with two broadband probes to enable accurate imaging of superficial and deeper structures for small cats up to large dogs. Air driven orthopaedic instruments, electrosurgery, electric suction and state of the art implants enable us to perform spinal surgeries, along with other referral standard surgeries such as Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) for cruciate ligament repair and laparoscopic surgery.
